Day 10 Countdown to International Womens Day! Join me in celebrating the women of Illawong Athletics.

Shoutout to the powerhouse women at Illawong Revesby Workers Athletics Club (IRWA)! From inspiring the next generation to leading by example, these volunteers embody this year’s theme through their incredible contributions. Kudos to Cass Dooley & Kate Truashiem for juggling competition and committee roles, coordinating 45 state relay teams!

A big applause to Karen Herrman & Susan Whatley, the leaders with a legacy of service, recently honoured for their dedication to athletics. Deborah Engeler’s 27 years of commitment has earned her numerous accolades, while Susan Brierly and Elice Stevill have taken their passion for athletics to new heights.

Every success story at IRWA starts with their volunteers, like Maria Truashiem, who’s been “giving back” since she was 15. IRWA thrives on being a welcoming, family-friendly club that celebrates inclusivity and encourages a healthy lifestyle for all.
